Mesoneros de Castilla Red Roble 2007

VINTAGE
A very dry year. The earlier frosts in September affected some vines in Ribera del Duero. Low grapes yield, but of a high quality. Vintage started on September 21st.

INFORMATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
Vines situated in south-facing slopes. The soil is made up of sand, limestone and clay. All are low bush vines.
Alcoholic and Malolactic fermentation controlled in stainlees steel vats.
This wine has been ageing during 6 months in american oak barrils in an underground cellar built in the XVI Century . Inside the temperature is always around  12ºC.
35.000 bottles.
Vintage 2007: Very Good.

TASTING
Dark cherry colour with purple glints. Beautiful wild red berry  fruit aromas. On the palate, soft tannins and good balance.
